As a wedding and event planner I am lucky enough to work on so many amazing celebrations of love, milestones and special moments. While, I know it is not right to pick “favorites,” I can’t help but admit that the “Fashioned by Friendship Fashion Show” is always my favorite event of the season. If you have attended this event you know the ‘magic’ that happens, if you have not yet attended please don’t miss the opportunity to capture this ‘magic’ on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at the Hall of Springs in Saratoga Springs, NY as we celebrate our 10th Anniversary… in style!

I have been co-chair of this amazing event to benefit the Thomas Patrick Morrison Foundation for over 5 years now. This year is different. This year I am a Mom. This year I am feeling different feelings. This year my heart aches in a different way than it ever has for the loss my dear friends experienced. This year I am even more committed to raising more money than we ever have to be able to help families in need. Please consider joining our honorary committee to help us break records this year. If you are unable to join us at the honorary committee level you can purchase a table, an individual ticket or donate an item towards our awesome silent auction. Please take a moment, consider making a donation and help us make a difference.

We have a truly outstanding day planned featuring a fashion show with the latest trends from Lord & Taylor, one of the best silent auctions out there, a delicious menu created by Mazzone Hospitality, a creative boutique for shopping and a fabulous time shared with good friends (new & old!)

I have been involved with the Thomas Patrick Morrison Foundation for over 10 years now and each year I am reminded how just how special this organization is.

More on the Cause:

The Thomas Patrick Morrison Foundation was created in February 2006 to honor the legacy of one very special little man, Thomas Patrick Morrison. Tommy, as he was known to his family, was born on October 23, 2005, and passed into eternal rest on January 20, 2006, as a result of a mitochondrial disorder, mpv-17 deletion. Tommy’s condition was not diagnosed until approximately five months after his death. As a result, Tommy’s family, including his loving parents and my dear friends, Tim and Carmelina Morrison, experienced first-hand the emotional and physical turmoil associated with caring for a child with a rare or unknown condition. The family therefore committed themselves to helping others deal with rare diseases, disorders or conditions by establishing the Foundation in order to raise money to provide grants to children and families in need. The Foundation also seeks to raise awareness of mitochondrial disorders and other rare conditions through education and outreach. Through contributions and support from donors like you, Thomas’ love continues to shine on all of the children and families that we serve.
