When you need to use GPS coordinates to find the ceremony location, the weather forecast is 100% unpredictable, and there is no cellphone service anywhere it is very helpful to have a coordinator! When we first began planning with Blerta and Zach back in December 2015, we knew that this wedding was going to have some challenges but of course, with challenge comes opportunity. Opportunity to become better planners, coordinators, and build stronger relationships with our couples. This is exactly what happened on September 10th, 2016.
Blerta and Zach were married at their families camp in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains on Wintergreen Lake. The morning started off with some rain- but mother nature was just getting it out of the way so the rest of the day could be sunny and perfect for the ceremony & celebration! The couple exchanged vows in front of the lake surrounded by all of their friends and family. Cocktail hour was also held lakeside as guests watched the happy couple hop in a row boat for photos on the lake. Guests then moved under a breathtaking sail cloth tent for an incredible family style dinner (We are still raving about how delicious dinner was from the talented Mazzone Hospitality). Dancing, fireworks, and a sweet doughnut exit made this wedding unforgettable. Thank you B&Z for keeping us laughing the entire way – xo #teamKOWE
Katie O’ says: When Blerta & Zach reached out to us I was excited for the opportunity to help them plan and coordinate a very special celebration at such a magical and meaningful location for their family. It is always a challenge to “build a venue” from the ground up on a piece of land that is not typically used for weddings. The team we assembled including Mazzone Hospitality and Rain or Shine Rental Company truly helped to make this a seamless and fun process. Having a planner to help make a tented wedding go flawlessly is so important and we loved being able to bring the sparkle to Wintergreen Lake for Blerta & Zach.
#KOWEbride, Blerta says: I can’t imagine how my wedding would have turned out without KOWE. They were indispensable every step of the way. They made things as seamless as possible and really listened to what I wanted — they’re pros at what they do. Bottom line: I felt extremely taken care of and think they were worth every penny. I also want to note that Katie and her team did so much more than the traditional wedding planning and coordinating tasks of managing the schedule/vendors/making sure everything runs smoothly (and they performed those tasks to a T). As soon as Katie stepped foot in the room on my wedding day, it felt like everything was going to turn out exactly right. She’s the type of person who can make you feel like everything will be great, even when it’s pouring the morning of your outdoor wedding. She calmed me down when I felt frazzled and made sure my train and veil and every little thing was perfect, among the thousands of other wedding coordinating things she did that day that I am not even aware of. Most importantly, I felt like she was my friend, and she was a joy to have around.
Andrew Franciosa was a dream to work with…. check out his full blog here.
Blerta & Zach got ready and had their first look at the family’s home. We love having the couple do getting ready preparations at home, it is so intimate and personal.
Our handsome groom and beautiful bride, re- reading theirs vows before go time!
Before ceremony, our couple had an adorably candid first look.
That dress… You make a stunning couple.
Blerta shared an “inspiration” image with Fluertacious Designs of how she would like her bouquet. Then the Fleurts made it 10x better than anyone could have imagined. It was one of the items Blerta made certain was saved and placed safely at the end of the night- she loved it so much!!
I love this one. #KOWECoreValue – Family First…Yours & Ours.
Can this get ANYMORE beautiful?
After ceremony, the newlyweds had some alone time on the family’s row boat. This picture perfect sunset made this image instantly frame-able!
Rain or Shine Tent Company was AMAZING to work with. Every detail was accounted for.
How fun are these “cake toppers?” It’s all in the details…and clearly B & Z have a fun sense of humor!
KOWE brought up Cider Belly Doughnuts and presented them as an exit treat for guests! For those who do not know… my weakness is doughnuts!
