One of the most important core values at KOWE is “give back & support local.” In the past six years as a business owner I have been lucky enough to be involved in many amazing charities. This year over the next 10 weeks I am thrilled to be helping Janet Cooper manage her Woman of the Year Campaign to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Janet is an amazing, dedicated and passionate local business owner of Angela's Bridal in downtown Albany, NY. Helping brides find the dress of their dreams for their big day is her passion. She gets to know her clients on a personal level and shares their dreams and vision to help make their wedding day sparkle. Like she did for my own wedding!
When one of her clients, Jackie, was about to come in for her appointment for a second bridal gown fitting she called to cancel her appointment with the news that she was going to have to postpone her wedding due to the fact that she had leukemia. Janet immediately felt her heart sink and wanted to do something, anything to help this soon-to-be bride faced with such sad news. When the opportunity to run for Woman of the Year to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society came up Janet jumped at the chance to get behind such a valuable cause.
I was excited to be the “extra push” Janet needed to get her organized, committed and focused on the goal for her campaign. I became her “campaign manager/cheerleader” overnight and we are ready to make a difference and help support a beautiful young woman with so much strength and determination to fight back!
Today I challenge my fellow industry professionals, my healthy brides-to-be, family and friends to help us reach our goal.

Consider this: you spend $25 a week for your morning coffee at Starbucks. This week, why not spend $25 to help find a cure for blood cancer and help us with Jackie's fight?? It might seem like a small amount but every dollar helps and we would love your support. CLICK HERE TO DONATE TODAY!
We have some fun events that you can join us at as well so stay tuned to Janet's Facebook page for updates.
