Sip Happens 2015

As a Boston gal, I was totally honored when Kelly and Craig hired me to help plan and coordinate their amazing wedding in Saratoga Springs…I say this because Craig is a World Series winning pitcher with the Boston Red Sox (my favorite pitcher, but I'm a little biased). So cool, right?

And here at KOWE we really enjoy working with clients long after their wedding day…whether it's a baby shower or coordinating another wedding for a sibling, it's truly an honor for us. Needless to say, we were thrilled when Kelly and Craig asked KOWE to help out with their annual “Sip Happens” event.

Kelly and Craig started the Strike 3 Foundation in 2008 to bring awareness to and mobilize support childhood cancer research. Craig was inspired to start the organization because his own sister was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer at age 14–thankfully, she is a survivor and lives a cancer free life today.

On Thursday, April 30th we're so excited to head east to Boston to help Kelly and Craig with their annual fundraiser “Sip Happens;” an intimate event with fine wine and elegant food pairings! Last year Kelly and Craig raised over $300,000 and they hope to raise even more this year!

If you're in Boston and interested in attending, check out their website and we hope to see you at the WGBH Studios to help support this amazing cause!

It's that Time of Year Again…Dining Out for Life!

It's hard to believe, but we're fast approaching one of my most favorite events of the year! Once again, JP Elario and I, in collaboration with DP and Yono's, will be hosting our Third Annual Dining Out for Life event THIS Thursday, April 23rd.

And, just like years past, there will be a fierce cocktail competition between JP and I…to be clear, this isn't a competition to see who can consume the most drinks! Oh, boy–that would be bad! Rather, our good friend Dominck Purnomo and his staff have developed brand new, carefully crafted, cocktails just for our event…Sparkling Sangria and the Elario-rita! They are both SO. GOOD. and 100% of the profits from these special drinks go directly to the Alliance for Positive Health! PLUS 20% of your food bill directly suppourts the cause too.

So, word on the street is that DP and Yono's are pretty much at max capacity for dining already–OMG, THANK YOU! And there is also a concert at the Times Union Center on the 23rd–downtown Albany is the place to be! But this year we have decided to mix things up a bit and we'll be having an after party at DP from 9pm to 11pm! DJ Trumastr will be spinning. The after party will be off the hook, for sure (because after the show it's the after party and after the party it's the hotel lobby…)!

If you can't join us for dinner (or were unable to snag a table in time) please consider coming out for drinks and dancing!

JP and I are so excited for Dining Out for Life 2015–your support of this chairtable event makes Alliance for Posiitve Health continue to do the amazing work that they do. Thank you and hope to see you on Thursday!
