Happy Monday, friends! Hope everyone had a fabulous (and safe) St. Paddy's Day weekend! This Irish lass spent some time with family and friends over in Boston (one of the best places to be on St. Patrick's Day!), but now I'm back with an all new Trends blog for you!
This week's Trends blog is highlighting “mismatched” bouquets for the 'maids. I'm putting mismatched in quotes because while these bouquets coordinate, they're not exact replicas of the bride's bouquet, nor do they all look the same. It's a great look that I'm starting to see more of (and I LOVE it). I think it also brings some visual interest to the photos and really makes the bridesmaids standout.
A few of my brides decided to go this route last year. Laura (aka little red) asked Kris Ann from Fleurtacious Designs to mix it up with these vibrant colors for her wedding day. How awesome is this image from Elario Photography?! See how the flowers just POP against their dresses? Swoon-worthy, for sure.
Laura and Kris Ann carried this idea even further to the tablescapes at the reception–so vibrant and fun! It was seriously stunning in person!
In July, David Michael Schmidt of Renaissance Floral Design also embraced the “mismatched” trend for Melissa and Matt's Saratoga Wedding (also by Elario Photography). Softer color pallette, but same effect–so great.
As you know by now, I love this trend and I hope to see more of it in the future. Would you consider “mismatched” bouquets? Let me know in the comments!
