It's Monday–we can either choose to be ho-hum about the start of another work week after a (hopefully) relaxing weekend, or we can see it as a fresh start! Here at Katie O Weddings and Events Mondays are definitely all about fresh starts. But Mondays also = Trends on the blog. Did you know that? Probably not, because this is the first Monday Trends blog post (how exciting)! But now you know. So every Monday look forward to setting your week off with what's fun, whimsical, happening, and current in wedding and party trends!
We're kicking off our Trends series with a fun and functional addition to your wedding or event decor–coasters! How could such a small, unassuming item make an impact? Let me tell you, they most certainly do! Coasters are a great way to personalize your event–they add detail and bring a cohesiveness to your decor. Through color, font, and overall aesthetic, coasters are an extension of your wedding or event stationary and can really tie everything together. Below is a round-up of fun coasters from around the web!
First up, these lovelies from our friend, Rebecca, of The Pink Orange. These are from her “Celebrations” line and come in great patterns and neutral colors that will compliment any color palette and jazz up any party.
Next, I LOVE these coasters from Steel Petal Press on Etsy. With a few lines for guests to give advice to the bride and groom, these coasters are not only a fun element of the wedding, but can be used later on in the couple's home as a reminder of their special day (love it). The advice given could possibly be pretty hilarious, too–I'm sure a lot of guests would have fun with these!
The simple and modern design of these coasters from Press Engaged Letterpress is divine. I also like the directive, “dance. dance. dance.”
As a side note, whenever I'm in a place that has their own coasters I always make sure to grab one before I go. Now I have a nice little collection of coasters from various restaurants and bars and lots of stories and memories to go along with them! Would you consider incorporating coasters into your wedding or next party? Let me know in the comments!
